Meet Carolina

Founder, designer, and maker behind Tonelli Atelier.

With a background in Fashion Design and over a decade of craftsmanship behind me, I've always been drawn to creating things by hand. Today, every bag is designed, patterned, and handcrafted in my Perth studio.

What I love most is transforming beautiful materials into pieces that are both functional and enduring — bags designed not only to be carried, but to age beautifully and become part of everyday life.

For me, a bag is more than something you carry. It's something that travels with you, holds your essentials, and quietly becomes part of your story.

Where it's made

Every Tonelli bag is designed and handcrafted in my Perth atelier.

I work exclusively with genuine leather sourced in Australia, choosing kangaroo, sheep, and cow hides for their strength, texture, and ability to age beautifully. I believe great materials only become more beautiful with time.

The finishing details matter just as much. That's why every hardware component is made from premium 316L stainless steel, available in polished silver or IP 24k gold plating, selected for both its durability and timeless appearance.

Made slowly. Made intentionally. Made to last.

Every Tonelli bag begins with a person, not a production schedule.

I don't create collections to sit on shelves or wait in a warehouse. Each bag is made only after it has been chosen, ensuring every hour of work, every material, and every detail has a purpose.

It's a slower approach, intentionally so.

Made to order allows me to focus on craftsmanship rather than volume, creating each bag individually with the time, care, and attention it deserves.
